ServiceNow patches four vulnerabilities including three critical flaws in its AI platform

Three critical bugs in the ServiceNow AI platform could allow unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary code or manipulate sensitive data within enterprise environments.

ServiceNow released its August 2026 CVE advisory on August 27, detailing four vulnerabilities affecting the Now Platform and the ServiceNow AI platform. Three of the flaws are rated critical: CVE-2026-18885 and CVE-2026-18886 are both code injection vulnerabilities that could let an unauthenticated attacker execute arbitrary code or alter instance data beyond intended authorization limits, potentially leading to privilege escalation. CVE-2026-74820 is a SQL injection flaw that could allow attackers to run arbitrary SQL queries against the underlying database, exposing or modifying sensitive data. The fourth issue, CVE-2026-6876, is a high-severity sandbox escape in the Now Platform that could also enable unauthorized code execution.

ServiceNow has released patches across its supported releases: Xanadu Patch 11 Hot Fix 7a, Yokohama Patch 12 Hot Fix 3b, Patch 13 Hot Fix 4, Zurich Patch 7b Hot Fix 3 through Patch 12, and Australia Patch 2 Hot Fix 3 through Patch 5. The company urged self-hosted customers to apply updates or upgrade promptly and recommended that security teams review privileged access, verify installed versions, and monitor for suspicious activity.
